Madison Avenue Park and Community Garden
Madison Avenue Park and Community Garden in East Hollywood provides much needed green space to over 12,000 people who live within a 10-minute walk.
Working with the community for over eight years, we helped transform this half-acre site from a vacant lot into a vibrant green space for recreation and community gardening. The Los Angeles Community Garden Council has built a community garden on the site, alongside a new public park. Once past the entry plaza’s decorative gates, kids will discover a dynamic new playground beneath a large shade structure, allowing a space for year-round play. A basketball tree, silo slide, and tricycle track are also available to promote fun for kids of all ages. Adults can exercise with friends at the Fitness Zone® outdoor gym located adjacent to the shaded picnic area. Art fills the park, including mosaics made by the local community and the mural, designed and painted by local high school students.
