The diverse geographies, economies and communities of north Texas include the unique “Cross Timbers” region, a melding of prairies, savannas and woodlands; the headwaters and course of the Trinity River, which flows through Texas’ largest cities to the Gulf of Mexico; and the urban metroplex of Dallas/Fort Worth, the nation’s 4th largest metropolitan area. TPL places an emphasis in north Texas on our urban programs in Dallas and our evolving work and program within the watershed of the Trinity River. TPL Greenprint work within the Trinity River watershed, and in conjunction with the North Texas Council of Governments, establishes our programmatic foundation for the coming years.
