Queen Creek Park
In the Town of Queen Creek, 80 acres of fallow agricultural fields occupied an enticing spot in a densely populated neighborhood. The property was slated for development as a large residential complex—but the community saw potential for more.
Working with the town and a local developer, The Trust for Public Land purchased the site for a new community park and recreation complex. Today, Queen Creek park includes multi-purpose fields and basketball courts, plus sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic ramadas, gardens, an amphitheater, and an equestrian area.
