Three Dollar Bridge
Protecting Olliffe Ranch in Madison Valley in 2006 opened the opportunity for TPL to put Three Dollar Bridge—a near legendary location for anglers, under permanent protection with direct public access.
Now a four mile stretch of river full of large boulders, slicks, hundreds of productive pockets, channels, and spring water, that makes it prime spawning ground for browns in the fall and rainbows in the spring is completely accessible. Anglers can park and wander the longest uninterrupted public access anywhere on the Madison, which also holds the largest concentration of wild trout for the entire length of the river, averaging over 15 inches in length.
