Whites Hill/Wardsboro
Situated close to Stratton Mountain ski resort, the 2,270 acre Whites Hill/Wardsboro property was threatened with development until The Trust for Public Land helped add it to the Green Mountain National Forest in 2003. The land lies within one of Vermont’s most critical feeding, breeding, and migrating corridors for black bear, and supports many species of songbirds and other wildlife. The property also provides public access to miles of trails, streams, panoramic views, and a remote woodland pond.
