Shelli Willis
Shelli Willis is a Partner at the law firm Troutman Pepper. With over 30 years of experience, Shelli advises leading financial institutions, nonbank lenders, publicly traded companies, and real estate developers and investors on a range of transactional matters and strategic initiatives. Drawing from significant experience in the real estate and banking sectors, she provides clear-cut guidance throughout the lifecycle of her clients’ commercial real estate investments, complex lending, and other key transactions.
Shelli also works with corporate leaders to build and further develop ESG programs and was involved in the field long before it became a business imperative. Shelli serves on Troutman Pepper’s Diversity and Innovation Committees and is a founding member of its Women’s Forum.
Prior to rejoining the firm, Shelli served for more than six years as a deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary to a publicly traded bank.
Shelli is professionally and civically active. Utilizing her skills in ESG, she chairs the Advisory Board for Trust for Public Land-Georgia, leading its Executive Committee, and also serves on the Boards of NC Coastal Federation, ULI Atlanta, Ser Familia, and the United Way Atlanta Tocqueville Society Cabinet.
Shelli earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her law degree from Emory University School of Law, and completed an Emory Gozueta School of Business Advanced Leadership Program (in partnership with SunTrust).
Shelli is a North Carolina native and resides with her family in Atlanta, Georgia.
