Land and Water–Arizona
Arizona is known for its rugged beauty—stunning landscapes that attract residents and visitors alike. These inspirational places also provide habitat for a wide variety of wildlife: Arizona has one of the highest levels of biodiversity in the country.
Increasingly, critical Arizona landscapes are threatened by development driven by rapid population growth. The Trust for Public Land is working to protect this land—as well as the water that helps it sustain both human and animal life in the arid climate of the Southwest.
The Trust for Public Land works with private landholders and government agencies to protect the land and water most important to Arizona communities, from the Red Rocks of Sedona to the Verde River watershed. Our work often expands national parks and forests-wild places where wildlife thrives and people can experience the great outdoors.
