Broad Brook

The Broad Brook is a very special place for lovers of the outdoors. The 3,420 acre property contains portions of the Appalachian Trail and Vermont’s Long Trail, the Broad Brook Trail, the Dome Trail, and roughly half of 2,478-foot Dome Mountain –it’s a great hiking destination. It’s also home to black bears, which use it as feeding and breeding area and migration corridor. The Trust for Public Land worked with the City of North Adams and the Forest Service to protect this land, effectively extending the Green Mountain National Forest to the Massachusetts border.
