Andy Mercy
Andy Mercy is an entrepreneur and investor who has spent over two decades creating solutions for social and environmental challenges. He discovered his passion for sustainability and social enterprise while working with farmers in Senegal during college. After college, Andy gained experience leading mountaineering and backpacking expeditions during a semester in Alaska with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and was a professional mountain guide and ski instructor in Vail, CO.
In 2000, Andy founded AngelPoints, an enterprise software company that helped corporations implement and track their philanthropy and sustainability programs. Through AngelPoints, he helped pioneer new ways of doing business that prioritize people and the planet and help companies do well by doing good. Andy later sold AngelPoints to Vista Equity Partners.
Today, Andy is dedicated to addressing climate change and believes in the effectiveness of biochar as a solution. As Chief Revenue Officer for Myno Carbon he helps companies offset their emissions and meet sustainability goals. He advocates for carbon removal as a crucial part of any sustainability strategy.
Andy holds a Bachelor’s degree from Macalester College and a Master’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He lives in Mill Valley, CA, with his family, dogs, cats and bees. Prior board positions include the Summer Search Bay Area Board and the Mill Valley Library Foundation.
