Ane Bakutis

Ane is an accomplished botanist and restoration ecologist with Research Corporation of UH Manoa’s Plant Extinction Prevention Program. Ane has a long conservation history – she previously worked with The Nature Conservancy managing the Honouliuli Preserve and worked as an endangered species recovery specialist for the Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Complementing her passion for the environment, Ane is also a co-founder of Kealopiko, a locally founded and based fashion clothing company rooted in the plants, animals, language and moʻolelo of Hawaiʻi.
