Beverly Griffith
Beverly Griffith, Austin TX/Crested Butte CO, served two terms as an elected member of the Austin City Council and a member of the Board of Directors of the Capital Area Metropolitan Transit Authority. She has been an ardent supporter of Texas parks and open space efforts, serving as chair of the Austin Parks & Recreation Board, co-founder and trustee of Austin Parks Foundation, president and trustee of Texas Recreation and Parks Society, and co-founder of the Barton Creek Wilderness Park Association. She initiated a successful $41.5 million bond proposal to acquire parks and greenways in Austin. Beverly is or has been a trustee or advisor for various organizations including the Nature Conservancy, University of Texas School of Social Work, Austin Lyric Opera Board, and the United Way. Her career includes five and one half years as a Vice President of Austin's largest bank. She currently serves on the Board of the Crested Butte Land Trust as well as the Board of 1% for Open Space and is a supporter of the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory and The Trust for Public Land (TPL). Beverly and her husband Balie are also members of TPL's North Texas Advisory Council. Beverly is a partner in Griffith Properties, where she manages a statewide portfolio of commercial investments.
