Danny Paez
Danny is TPL’s Cartography Coordinator. He joined the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team in July of 2016. He creates cartographic products ranging from project area detail maps to large landscape conservation maps, as well as assisting with story maps and other web-mapping products. Much of his work revolves around grant applications with tens of millions of dollars of successful grant applications to date.
Danny’s cartographic work at TPL has included mapping as well as writing legal descriptions for large, complicated properties, creating data from georeferenced images, and creating professional quality maps for various purposes. He has also worked closely with TPL’s legal team to rectify numerous boundary issues.
Danny received his Associate degree in GIS from Central New Mexico Community Colleg and his BA in Geography with a minor in Art from the University of New Mexico.
