Jennifer Clinton
Jennifer Clinton is the Senior Parks and Conservation Economist with the Lab for Land and People. Jen joined Trust for Public Land in 2021, and is responsible for managing a suite of research projects focused on environmental economics. This work values the many benefits that nature provides people, and improves decision-making by articulating these essential but often overlooked benefits.
Before joining TPL, Jen was a Community Development Planner for Cape Cod’s regional planning agency, analyzing environmental and economic data on behalf of local communities. She researched the impacts of COVID-19 on local businesses, and designed decision support tools that communicate coastal impacts of sea level rise, erosion, and storm surge. Prior research experiences include fisheries and sustainable tourism in the Turks and Caicos Islands, marine protected areas in Monterey, California, and the impacts of climate change to islands with the Institute of European Environmental Policy in Brussels.
Jen holds a B.A. in Politics and Environmental Studies from Fairfield University and a M.S. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Connecticut. She currently lives on Cape Cod. Outside of work, Jen loves exploring the New England coast with her pup Sandy and painting with watercolors.
