Katie Skibinski
Katie Skibinski leads creative, collaborative innovation for people and planet. In her current role as Chief Innovation Officer at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Katie defines, de-risks, and incubates new strategies to deepen impact despite a rapidly changing ecosystem. Katie has 20+ years of experience leading digital strategy as VP of Digital Products at Planned Parenthood and for LinkNYC, agencies like Huge and POP, and The New York Times. Her team’s work at Planned Parenthood has earned numerous Webby, Shorty, Fast Co Innovation by Design, and Fast Co Most Innovative Companies awards. In 2019, her team’s sex ed chatbot won the Fast Co World Changing Idea award and Time Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2019. And in 2020, her team won Digiday’s Resilience Award for their rapid expansion of telehealth during the pandemic.
Katie is a graduate of Barnard College and holds an MLIS from Long Island University. She has completed sustainability coursework through Terra.do, Stanford, Cambridge, and One Point Five. She is the winner of Women in Innovation’s 2022 Leader award, and a member of the South Orange Environmental Commission.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Katie is an avid reader and busy parent. She lives with her husband and two young kids in South Orange, NJ.
