Kekama Helm
Kekamaikaikamaikalani Helm is a Molokai native and homesteader. Now retired, Kekama previously served the Molokai community by advancing the mission of Liliʻuokalani Trust for more than 25 years. He is a passionate fisherman and helped establish Hui Mālama o Moʻomomi and Ka Honua Momona. Kekama is rooted in his family’s legacy of Hawaiian music and farming. He and wife, Ane, founded and operate Mapulehu Farms in Kalamaʻula and the historic mango patch at Mapulehu. Kekama is a Polynesian Voyaging Society crew member; first sailing in 1999 from Hawaiʻi to the Marquesas then Rapanui to Hawaiʻi in 2017. Kekama and Ane reside in Kalama‘ula with their three children.
