Marcia Mathaei
Marcia Matthaei is a native of the northwest, growing up in eastern Washington and Oregon and living in Tacoma for the last 48 years. Marcia is a retired psychotherapist having started her career in nursing. She has a BSN from Washington State University, with graduate degrees in theology from Seattle U. and counseling from the University of Puget Sound.
She spends as much time as she can with her three married adult sons and her seven grandchildren. Yoga, practicing mindfulness, traveling, reading, walking in nature, kayaking, and hanging out on Hood Canal are favorite ways to spend her time. Marcia supports TPL because of shared values of conservation, equity, and the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of communities that comes with access to parks and open green space.
