Paula B. Hennessy
Paula Hennessy grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Virginia.
Upon moving to Atlanta in 1977, Paula worked for Rich’s, Inc. as a buyer in a number of departments spanning a 10-year career.
She was deeply involved in her children’s activities at the Atlanta Speech School, Trinity School and Marist School. While at Marist, she photographed all varsity sports from 2002 – 2005 and allowed the Athletic Department to sell the photos as a fundraiser for the school.
Paula was one of four founding members who established a sporting clays shooting Tournament (Atlanta Charity Clays Tournament) to benefit Atlanta’s children’s charities, raising $50,000 in the first year. Now in its 26th year, the tournament has raised over $4.6 million dollars.
An avid gardener, Paula has been a member of the Cherokee Garden Club since 2003 and has served on the Executive Board, Library Board, Community Fund Board (including a year as chair), and the Library Acquisitions Committee. She Co-Chaired the 2007 Garden Club Tour of Homes. Paula also has been a member of the Southeastern Horticulture Society since 2010.
Paula’s interests are gardening, all things green and growing, photography, swimming, biking and her grandchildren.
She and her husband Mark live in Atlanta and have two children, Robert Hennessy and Molly Wogan and two grandchildren, Blythe Taylor Hennessy and Margaret May Wogan.
