Suzanne Sackleh
Suzanne Sackleh has been active in nonprofit work for twenty years, working to build thriving communities in the areas where she lives. Suzanne believes that in order to be truly healthy, individuals and families need nature, recreation, fresh food, housing and access to well-rounded healthcare. Based on her personal experiences of the powerful impact of nature in her early life, Suzanne believes in the necessity of a relationship with mental health and nature especially among populations that are underserved.
She currently serves on the President’s Circle for Buckhead Christian Ministry to eradicate homelessness. Buckhead Christian Ministry serves the greater Atlanta area with transitional housing, food pantry, and life skills programs for the underserved. Suzanne also serves on the review committee for Park Pride Inc. Park Pride helps neighborhoods and communities create and improve parks for the Greater Atlanta community. Suzanne also served on the Camp Task Force committee for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. This committee researched the impact of all the Girl Scouts camp properties in Georgia in order to update, improve the camp experience for girls of all ages.
Suzanne enjoys nature, travel and learning about healthy holistic habits. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
