Will Gardner

Will is an MBA candidate at the Yale School of Management. Prior to joining SOM, Will worked as Sustainability Lead for the Jardine Matheson Group in Hong Kong, where he led the Group’s work to establish its first carbon and waste inventories and managed the Group’s approach to climate commitments. Previously, Will worked in a range of roles across Jardines businesses in both Hong Kong and Beijing.

Will is excited to use his time at Yale to build the knowledge and skills necessary to refocus his career around solving climate and conservation issues. He is particularly interested in the potential for nature-based climate solutions to drive positive climate and conservation outcomes.

He holds a degree in Economics and Chinese from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He studied abroad at Peking University and can speak Mandarin Chinese. Born and raised in Bermuda, he enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors – whether hiking, sailing, rock climbing, or taking photographs of trees.
