In Washington and across the country, we’re working with communities and advocates to connect more people in more places to the outdoors.
Our Work in Washington
Washington residents are connected by a love for the outdoors. Closeness to nature, whether it’s a neighborhood park, waterfront, or the surrounding mountains, is woven into their cultural identity. The outdoors is where we play, rest, and connect with nature and each other.
Access to these beautiful open spaces is essential to the health and well-being of all Washington communities, yet not everyone has equal access to these natural treasures. Trust for Public Land is working towards a future where every community enjoys access to nature for outdoor recreation, community engagement, and the health benefits they provide. From Olympic Sculpture Park to Rattlesnake Ridge, we’re working to connect more Washington communities to the benefits and joys of the outdoors.
From transforming schoolyards to preserving national parks, our work is changing communities across the country. Read more stories about our projects in this state and across the country.
