Crystal Beach

Destin, Florida is famous for its warm waters, world-class fishing, and white sand beaches. The neighborhood along Crystal beach has long been defined by private shoreline reserved for wealthy residents and beach vendors. The City of Destin teamed up with The Trust for Public Land to make access to this beachside treasure more equitable and accessible for all. We’re reclaiming the beachfront for the public by purchasing beachfront houses and condos and delivering them to the city to convert to parkland. We’re adding three new public stretches to the beach, which means three times more fun in the sun for everyone visiting Crystal Beach.
