Lake Superior Falls

Nestled along the shimmering shores of Lake Superior, 212 acres of hardwood forests are a hidden gem that offer breathtaking vistas of the majestic lake, the tranquil Montreal River, and the enchanting Superior Falls. This haven sits at the border between Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and serves as a vital connection between two expansive blocks of public land. With our partners at the National Park Service, we’re working to conserve this stunning landscape. Our work here would not only protect its pristine habitat, but also open new pathways for exploration, allowing public access to the serene beauty of the Montreal River and the captivating cascades of Superior Falls.

This precious space is also critical for the North Country Trail, where we hope to establish a new, off-road connection for America’s longest congressionally designated trail.
