Mather Meadows
Spending time outside rejuvenates us. Parks connects us to nature, to one another, and to our communities. Mather Meadows in Darien, Connecticut was permanently protected by The Trust for Public Land, the Darien Land Trust, and the Mather-McPherson family in 2003. The generosity of private supporters, the Darien Land Trust, the State of Connecticut, and the Town of Darien helped make this possible. Today, this magnificent open space is maintained as a natural meadow for wandering and exploring, and are a haven for migrating bird species on the Atlantic Fly-Way. By protecting this land we have ensured that visitors will continue to experience its beauty for generations to come
