Nome Park
We’re working to help renovate two parks in North Aurora, Colorado, that serve a growing population of families and children.
The Trust for Public Land engaged children and families at the Hoffman Youth Center to be part of Jewell Park’s extensive community design process. The improved park will include a grass soccer field, play equipment, a new multi-purpose court, and a skating area.
We also helped the city purchase property to expand Nome Park, nearly doubling its size. Thanks to an NEA ArtWORKS grant, a local artist will work with community members, students and teachers at Aurora Central High School to incorporate art into the overall park design. The revitalized park will have a Fitness Zone®area, community garden, a grass soccer field, and updated play equipment.
