Rainbow Glass Ranch
In 2006, TPL protected the vast Rainbow Glass Ranch by placing a conservation easement on
the land, allowing the ranch’s cattle operation to continue, while protecting the property’s natural habitat and wildlife. qualities. From canyon bottoms to
ridgelines, this 5,500-acre property in Carbon County is home to mule
deer, elk, black bear, cougar, and coyote. Beaver, fish, and birds can
be found in and along the streams that meander through the ranch. This water flows
into the Grassy Creek Reservoir, providing clean drinking water for the
town of Sunnyside. Now protected, Rainbow Glass Ranch will continue to
host abundant wildlife and supply clean water for the local communities.
