Tenderloin Parks
The Tenderloin houses close to 50,000 people and is one of the densest, lowest income, most diverse, and park poor neighborhoods in San Francisco. It is home to the densest concentration of children and families, yet the few open spaces that exist are often underutilized, unknown, or disconnected. Since 2008, The Trust for Public Land has been deeply committed and engaged with this community and has worked with San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and other partners to transform the Tenderloin Parks into healthy community hubs.
