The Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) Program Grant Application Toolkit was created to help interested entities create or support a successful grant application in the seventh round of the ORLP Program with $224 million available. The ORLP Program is a nationally competitive federal grant program that provides new or significantly improved recreation opportunities in economically disadvantaged communities. Project prioritization includes nature based projects that utilize blue and green spaces.
Through TPL’s programmatic expertise and feedback from program experts, this Toolkit will provide eligible entities with tools to manage the ORLP grant application process, help them determine project eligibility, and engender a better overall understanding of the ORLP program. It is geared toward potential grant applicants (LWCF State Lead Agencies), potential grant sub-recipients (local government agencies or federally-recognized Tribes), and public and private partners interested in supporting an ORLP grant application. By sharing this guidance and technical assistance broadly, TPL hopes to enable the creation of more high-quality parks and outdoor recreation opportunities for economically disadvantaged communities across the country.
