Taking The High Road

Federal transportation programs will continue to have a tremendous impact on the character of communities in the 21st century.  The reauthorization of the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21) provides an opportunity to build on the experiences of communities that have sought to integrate open space protection and transportation policy.
