Amanda Garvey
Amanda Garvey lives in Portland, Maine with her husband and two kids. As Vice President at Thornton Tomasetti, she serves as a sustainable building consultant mitigating the climate change impacts associated with the building industry. Her primary focus is higher education institutions and other mission-driven clients. She leads the Material Health team within Thornton Tomasetti and serves as a facilitator for sustainability visioning charrettes and workshops with design teams. Outside of work, Amanda is an ambassador for the Greater Portland New England Mountain Bike Association (GPNEMBA) where she volunteers as a trail steward and advocate for the mountain bike community. She is also a member of the Single Track Sisters, an organization dedicated to promoting mountain biking for women in the Greater Portland area. Amanda loves hiking, camping, biking, skiing and spending time outside on the trails with her family.
