#OurLand: Bark for Parks winner!
#OurLand: Bark for Parks winner!
After much deliberation, we’re pleased to announce that the #OurLand movement has a new spokes-dog: black lab Bloo, captured here on a snowy romp with his best bud Barley in their hometown of Bozeman, Montana. Bloo’s owner Carolyn C. writes,
The two of them love to run, swim, chase balls, and sniff around. We are very lucky to have great trails right outside our backyard: we often take Bloo and Barley to Snowfill Recreation Area and Hedvig’s Trail, an off-leash park that’s open year-round. Their favorite thing to do in the park? Run, run, run … sniff, sniff … wade in the creeks and ponds, and of course, roll in stinky patches!
Carolyn has rave reviews of the parks and trails in Bozeman, and Bloo certainly likes the snow. That said, they’re thinking of using their #OurLand: Bark for parks! prize—a weekend’s stay at a pet-friendly Kimpton Hotel—to take a break from the Montana winter. “We haven’t figured it out yet,” Carolyn says, “but sunshine and palm trees have to be included!”
Warm wishes to our winners and many thanks to everyone who shared shots of their four-legged friends enjoying the outdoors. Every entry helped make the case for the importance of parks—for pups, and for their people, too!
