Watershed Demonstration Projects
Between 2001 and 2004, The Trust for Public Land, the U.S. Forest Service, and the University of Massachusetts conducted four demonstration projects to show how protecting forestlands can protect local drinking water supplies. More recently, TPL and the Forest Service selected the Meramac River watershed as demonstration project in the Upper Mississippi River Basin.
