Charles M. Peterson

Charles M. "Clance" Peterson is a partner with Peterson County LLC, a real estate investor and property developer. Clance has a particular appreciation for the development of recreation opportunities which the Trust for Public Land has emphasized in and near urban centers. After earning an MBA at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, he started his career in banking and finance. He began investing in real estate in the multi-family housing market of Newark, NJ, and moved to Oakland, CA where he worked to create and enhance the recreational opportunities for low income areas of the city. Returning to the East Coast, Clance is now focusing his resources in New London, CT, where he works with city and state housing agencies, homeless shelters, and community organizations to provide affordable housing for individuals and families.
