Michelle Aboodi
Michelle Aboodi works at Deckers Brands as the Senior Sustainability Manager, Data & Materials Optimization. In her role, she aims to put a sustainability lens on the materials used, products made, and supply chain function to improve decisions and strategy for a more resilient and environmentally and socially responsible business. Prior to her work at Deckers Brands, she has worked in sustainability at Nike/Converse and Unilever. She was a GreenBiz 30 Under 30 recipient for her work in sustainability and social impact at Unilever. Michelle is proud to have started her career on the business operations team at CNN.
By education, Michelle holds a B.A. in Sociology and Child/Adolescent Mental Health from New York University and an M.B.A. in Sustainability from Bard College.
Originally from New Jersey, she has lived in and enjoyed the parks of the East Village, Little Italy, Union Square, the Upper West Side, and most recently, Queens. She supports the Trust for Public Land because their commitments to equity, health, community, and climate align with her commitment to help people thrive for the next 100+ years.
When she’s not trying to make sustainability our reality, she is spending time with family, checking out farmer’s markets to cook delicious local meals, reading, writing, and practicing yoga.
