But as Minnesota continues to grow in population, development threatens this enchanting landscape, risking habitat loss and water quality impairment.

Trust for Public Land recognizes the importance of this watershed for people and wildlife alike, which is why we’re partnering with Clean River Partners, Great River Greening, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and local governments to protect this natural resource. By working hand-in-hand with local communities, we can preserve critical habitats, enhance recreational opportunities, and ensure clean water for generations to come.
