Double Trouble State Park
In late 2001, TPL purchased 1,044 acres in Ocean County, New Jersey. The majority of the land was added to Double Trouble State Park, linking it to the Crossley Preserve and the Greenwood Wildlife Management Area. (The remaining 100 acres are now owned by Ocean). Preserving the land helps to protect the watersheds of the Toms River and Barnegat Bay. Funding came from the New Jersey DEP Green Acres Program, the Ocean County Natural Lands Trust, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and The William Penn Foundation.
