Florida Gulf Coast Trail
The Florida Gulf Coast Trail is an ambitious plan to create a 420-mile regional trail in Southwest Florida. Spanning seven coastal counties, the trail will create safe pathways for outdoor recreation, foster health and well-being, attract tourists and visitors, promote alternative modes of transportation, expand access to nature, stimulate economic opportunities, and connect communities like never before.
At TPL, community is at the center of everything we do. Trails like the Florida Gulf Coast Trail become treasured and transformative places. They support recreational activities, protect nature and wildlife, offer a peaceful hangout, function as gathering spots for friends and family, create alternative modes of transportation, and serve as climate solutions, safeguarding our future. We also know that trails are powerful economic drivers, particularly in a state like Florida, where outdoor tourism and travel is a major industry. Learn how we are aiming to bridge communities within and across seven counties in Southwest Florida. The maps featured here are not final and are subject to change. They should not be used for trip planning.
There’s an experience for everyone along this epic trail. It’s evolving every day so dig into the map to find a trail segment that may be near you. This map is subject to change.
